Decorate Your Door With A Halloween Wreath For Spooky Season!

As I type this post, All Hallows Eve is under two weeks away so I’m all excited about creating a hauntingly spectacular wreath for our front door. I anticipate my guests delighted reactions to a beautifully balanced spooky wreath.   A holiday wreath encompassing fun and spooky elements will set the stage for visitors to expect laughter and chills ahead.  Join me by gathering your wreath making supplies, an old scary black and white movie, and a cup of hot apple cider.  Let’s start creating some seasonal entry decor.

1. Gather Your Ghoulish Supplies

First things first: a Halloween wreath is nothing without some eye-catching materials. You can pick up basic wreath forms at your local craft store, but Halloween is all about personality, so let’s go big! Here’s a list to get you started:

  • Wreath form: Foam, wire, or even a grapevine wreath will work. If you want to save a bit of cash, you can even use a pool noodle and tape it into a circle.
  • Ribbon and fabric: Go for the spooky classics: black, purple, green, and orange.
  • Creepy decorations: Small plastic skulls, eyeballs, mini pumpkins, bats, spiders, and anything else that screams Halloween.
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint: Because nothing says “BOO!” like a wreath that glows at night.
  • Hot glue gun: Every crafter’s best friend!
  • Fake cobwebs: A Halloween must-have. Plus, they add a fun, sticky dimension to your wreath.

Once your creation is complete, hang it outside for all to see! You can place it on your front door, or if you really want to turn heads, try hanging it on a garden gate or mailbox post. Don’t forget to add some glow-in-the-dark paint on key elements so your wreath looks amazing at night, too.
